ELECTRA was rebranded from Eco Gypsy in 2025. Founded in Bali in 2013 as a sustainable luxury beachwear brand inspired by island life.
Born to mixed Indian & Scottish Heritage in Singapore, Electra was brought up between Asia & The UK.
Islands are the backdrop of much of her life, living in the Maldives & Indonesia. This shaped the aesthetic for a unique brand that melds style, lifestyle and travel.
Sustainability has been her passion since completing her Masters at SOAS on it's impact on development. This has moulded her approach to both fashion and travel writing.

Each piece of our collection is made by real people, meaning no two pieces will ever be identical. Every piece of our collections tell a story.
Sustainable Shells are naturally harvested by the sea gypsy tribes of Sulawesi, Indonesia on their travels throughout the Archipelago. These are bought directly from them and all our pieces adorned with them are CITES certified with paperwork to assure no marine species or environments were harmed.
Careful choices of fabrics -organic bamboo cotton and natural cotton are used in unison with plant and natural dyes ensuring minimal pollution to ecosystems and to be kind to the skin.
All our artisans are paid ethically and fairly and directly, as part of our community. This ensures a completely transparent supply chain.
